This contract is intended to offer the opportunity of beginning doctoral research to a promising researcher while s/he prepares an application for a scholarship with FWO and/or the promoter submits a project application with the FWO or the Research Council. The doctoral research is expected to culminate in a doctorate in Theology. You will be expected to commit yourself to research in order to produce a doctoral dissertation. Together with the promoter/research group concerned, you will be expected to make every possible effort to secure external financing as of the second year of your programme. You may be assigned limited educational or administrative responsibilities at the faculty, within the same limits as those that apply for FWO- fellowship holders, so long as these do not interfere with the preparation of the doctoral project.
You have obtained the Master (of Arts) of Theology and Religious Studies degree at the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies, KU Leuven, or an M.A. degree from an EU-member state university and/or you have obtained the Master (of Arts) of Advanced Studies in Theology and Religion degree or Research Master: Master of Advanced Studies in Theology and Religion at the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies, KU Leuven, or you will obtain the degree in July or September 2016 with outstanding study results. You must be eligible for admission to the Doctoral Programme in Theology.
We offer an employment as full-time Ph.D. researcher starting 2016, October 1st for 1 year.
