The Department of Classics and Ancient History invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for one temporary teaching fellowship in classical languages and literature of five months’ duration from 1 September 2016. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to and develop the department’s provision of teaching at undergraduate level in Greek and Latin language, literature and culture. Candidates should normally have received their PhD by the date of appointment. An active research record will be an advantage.
The appointment start date is September 2016.
- Grade: Pathway 3, Grade I
- Salary: Starting salary £31,656 to £35,609 (pro-rata)

Shortlisted candidates will be notified on or around Wednesday 3 August 2016 and asked to submit a sample of their work (in English) of not more than 10,000 words, or 20 A4 pages, sent to firstname.lastname@example.org as soon after notification as possible, but no later than Friday 5 August 2016.
It is anticipated that interviews will take place the week commencing 8 August 2016.
