The Department of Classics and Ancient History invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for a temporary teaching fellowship in Ancient History of ten months’ duration from 1 September 2016. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the department’s provision of teaching at undergraduate level in Ancient History, with a particular focus on Roman history and culture. Candidates should normally have received their PhD by the date of appointment. An active research record and teaching experience will be an advantage.
The appointment start date is 1st September 2016.
Grade: Pathway 3, Grade I
Salary: £31,656 to £35,609

Timescale of appointment:
Shortlisted candidates will be notified on or around Tuesday 31 May 2016 and asked to submit a sample of their work (in English) of not more than 10,000 words, or 20 A4 pages. This should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org as soon after notification as possible, but no later than Friday 3 June 2016.
It is anticipated that interviews will take place on Wednesday 15 June 2016.
